Queenstown HIV Clinical Management Conference Objectives:

1. Present up-to-date information relevant to the Eastern Cape.

Including new South African Guidelines for treatment of HIV, HIV-resistance, drug interactions, hospice care, special clinical topics such as renal complications of HIV, HIV-tuberculosis, treatment of Kaposi's Sarcoma, update on HIV-Pediatric care and PMTCT.

2. Increase clinical knowledge and clinical decision making skills .

Information will be clinically relevant and practical---applicable to the current situation in the Eastern Cape. The format will be interactive and will give participants resources to go to later for clinical challenges and questions they encounter. By the end of this conference, participants will be able to identify actual clinicians in the Eastern Cape who can provide them with help.

3. Provide clear objectives for each presentation .

Each speaker will give you 3 objectives for their talk, and allow you to ask questions during the case presentations, so that together we discuss these cases. Each speaker will model how important it is to get feedback and participation from each team member: physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and dieticians.
